Kempinski has now terminated with immediate effect its management contract with the Grand Hotel Heiligendamm & Co KG. This is due to breaches of contract and the non-payment of management fees from the last two years.In his dismissal Kempinski said that the constant interference of the owner in the daily hotel operations have hindered his job, his internationally recognized expertise in the luxury hotel management to effectively perform and manage the hotel on a solid economic base.
